engine sputters

engine sputters

i need help guys my car sputter when i stomp on it . i changed the spark plugs and made sure the everything is up to par but it still sputters around 4500 rpms when i stomp on it can someone help????????????

gap is .28 and i have tbe and intake and thats about it guys i just bought the car two weeks ago and it has been sitting for about a years or more. i started to use shell gas this week .

sounds trigger related?? check to see if you have any metal debris on the crank position sensor, or bent teeth or rust.... could be a loose connection or bad sensor too. Had the problem on mine and it was breaking up around 3500.

try and gap the to .020- .024 see if that works.

I had this same problem for months. Tryed new plugs gapping/ re-gapping etc. Had the car tuned last weekend and the tuner said i needed an upgraded COP kit. Sure enough, no more stumbling in every gear when "getting on it" usually by 5000rpm's. Anyway, might want to check it out.
