Bad tires causing vibrations?
When traveling above 65-75 my steering wheel will vibrate from side to side with about an inch of movement. I took it in and after looking at it the dealer blamed it on the tires. My right front tire is a worn a lot from burnouts(stupid kids...what can you do...lol) but I know it did it before that tire was worn out unevenly like that. Could it really be the tire and me not noticing the vibration before or could it be something else? They said the ball joints werent worn at all. And another ? on the side. Is it normal for only the right tire to spin when you burnout/get stuck in the snow?
but i would rather spend my money for the dealer to tell me i need new tires!! lol. between jobs right now so im broke. start new job tomorrow so my first few paychecks are going to fixing all my problems.
usual cause is the tires arnt balanced.. Either not balanced or have mud/snow in them which causes them to be unbalanced. The weights could have fallen off which would cause this.
Then a problem could be uneven worn tire which would cause it to be unbalanced...... this would be caused by a bad allignment.
