GTS Bluetooth Problems
GTS Bluetooth Problems
Am I the only one having problems making phone calls with my hands free system?
When I dial, it will sometime dial then switch back to the radio, if I look at my cellphone, it did dial and didn't hang up, though I can't hear / speak with the other person? Same thing when answering an incoming call... but it seems to work better when I wait until the lady is done saying I need to press the pick up button.
While I didn't read the manual, this seems as a pretty simple feature and I think it should be pretty straightforward...
Anyone having problems like this?
Thanks

No problems for me and i use it quite often. Have you done the voice training/enrollment commands? Have you checked the bluetooth settings on your phone? You may want to retry the discovery and pairing procedure.
I didn't do the voice training since it seemed to recognize correctly what I'm saying.
Problems arise after a) I confirm the # to dial, I hear it dial then it switches back to the radio or b) I press the pick up button and it switches back to the radio, instead of answering the phone.
I'm not sure whether the problem comes from my phone or the car... my phone always displays its connected to the Hand Free System :/ What's weird is that it works like 50-60% of the time.

Go here and hit Hands Free Phone on the left link bar. Then find a phone link on that next page. Enter the info and first find out if your phone is supported and if so what options.

Then once you know it is supported delete the phone and re-pair the phone to the car.
The Bluetooth Handsfree System is using your cellular phone service so the same level of service will apply i.e. if you experience static on your cell phone due to low signal strength then you will also experience static on the Bluetooth Handsfree System.
Speaker enrollment requires 45 phrases to be spoken. To activate the voice training feature within the handsfree system, press the SPEECH button and wait for the beep, then say "voice training". The system will then guide you through the process. To view or print the list of commands, see link below.

Also are there any other phones in the car at the time that have bluetooth enabled on them? After all that I would find a friend with a bluetooth phone and pair it with the car and try using theirs for a trip someplace. If it does not happen to them it is most likely the phone. If it does happen it is the car.
After that pretty easy...
Phone = Service Provider to find out what is wrong
Car = Dealer.
Good Luck

My suggestion.. yes... delete the existing paired phone(s) and re-add them.

you guys that are having problems dont by any chance have your bluetooth headsets in the car too? If so it may be confusing your phone and switching to the headset instead of the in car system.
I have a BB 8700 and don't have any other BT devices around in the car... Just seems to delay too long before connecting and like others have said, frequently looses connection - for a fraction of a second then re-connects.
Otherwise, the system is awesome... would like to be able to "tweak" it a bit more but oh well.
