stupid brakes
stupid brakes
first off, hello to all.
i have an 06 ES, and if going slow, like stopping in reverse or just moving ahead a few feet, as soon as i touch the brake pedal i get a clunking/ clicking noise front both front brakes (single click from each side, that is very loud) . i have replaced the pads, machined the rotors, replaced the pad shims and packed all the sliders with grease, but to no avail. has any one got this before, i tried searching but nothing. dealership can hear it but can't find it. thanks

opps just read you said one click per side... so something is loose cause your hearing somthing move back and forth you need to get under you car and make sure all your bolts are in and tight and that u have the correct pads in that aren't too small and moving around in your caliper. do that and update mang

Did you check to make sure the springs are seated properly? My friend and I just installed 4 new KYBs in his 240, and one spring is about an inch away from it's proper seat and makes that noise over bumps, turns, and breaking...
But then again my friend gets that on his IS300, and we have no clue what it could be! New everything and it's all tight...

If u never fixed this ,i know what it is.
Its ur pad clips, this was happening to me , and got annoyed BAD
since the pad clips arent there there is a little gap and when pushing the brakes would cause the pad to move and hit the caliper.
Or it could be the caliper /or bracket thats lose
