this is the 3rd time this has happened to me. I sit in my car and turn the key to start the car and it doesnt start up. The engine has trouble starting up and it doesnt turn on. It's like its a used car with like 200,000 miles on it.....no matter how long i have the key turned it wont start up. lol it makes an RRRR..RRRR. sound idk how to describe but like i said its like an old car having trouble starting. anyone else with this problem?

something like this happened to me a long time ago.. I stopped at a gas station and shut down the car to put gas. when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't. I put it on N and then back to Park.. and it turned on fine.. never had a problem since.. on my case I thing Park just wasnt engaged properly...

crap, it happened again to me this afternoon... the only coorelation between this time and last time (that i can think of) is that it was hotter than normal on both days... mid to low 80s. i'm going to end up taking it in, but does anybody have a good reason as to why this happens?

Happened to me once on a hot day (about 89 degrees Fahrenheit), hasn't happened since. All i did was stop, wait a few minutes, and try again.

it has happened to me a few times randomly and all i do is turn it back to off and then it starts up fine. They need to come out with some nice recalls soon cause this stuff is kinda pissing me off. I will mention it when i bring it to the dealer for the pulling left issue but i'm sure they will just be like hmm i wouldn't worry about it or hmmm ive never heard of that one.

Heh, I started a thread about this way back in the day...a lot of people had the problem. I think its part of the engine breaking in because everyone stopped saying it was happening.

I never took mine to the dealer for it and it went away anything.

I'm not sure if it has to do with breaking in the car because I've had mine since April of this year and it's happened three times. The first time I ignored it thinking that I didn't turn the key all the way. The second time I started to question it more. The third time, a friend of mine who happens to be a certified mechanic was with me and the first thing he said was "wtf?....this car is new it shouldn't be doing that, my p.o.s. lexus does that!" So I don't know if it's breaking in the car, each time that happened was a month or two apart. DAMMIT!!

It's happened to me too. On hot day with a lot of humidity. It's happened to me 3 times. first time i was suprised. The second was after not using my car for a straight 5 days. Every thing look alright but, it's like if the "fire" cannot ignit. My old Civic had that kind of problem, and i had to change the Distributor and a special relay (with a known trouble).

I hope Mitsu, gonna come with something!

Happened to me too.

Here in Los Angeles it's not common to get cold weather, but last week it rained, and the next morning was REALLY cold.

I made an attempt at starting my car but it wouldn't start.

Just kept trying and eventually it started.
