The water based paint kids use to paint is probably better than the crap Mitsubishi uses on their cars.

that's ok... I'm canceling my "extended" "bumper to bumper" warranty crap tomorrow. After looking through the documentation and talking to a representative on the phone today, I've determined it's worthless...

good job man...don't waste your money with any sort of "warrenty" they have. Look at the people that bought that paint protection plan and now with the paint issue arising they won't do crap over it or the rust that forms where ever theirs a chip.

I live in Kentucky and during our winters we have a crap load of salt put down on the roads. I've had my car a year and the only paint chips i see are around the hood and bumper from tiny rocks coming off the road while going down the highway. Other than that there isn't a problem with my paint, no scratches, no chips, no rust. I'm sure the winters are no doubt longer and worse than the ones we have here, but i'm still waiting to see if anyone in the states is having these problems and doesn't live up north.
