for me i think the car is still solid, but i guess the car doesnt really xcite me when i drive it compared to when i had a integra. i mean to me the lancer is still just a family car, myb when i mod it out ill start enjoying it more XD but w/e its all good
lol, they blamed it on a shift nob.....hahaha

You have to consider all the options and styling you get for 20k though; they have to skimp out somewhere to add those extra features.

Option B could've been a base model Civic which would give you a rock solid car but boring to look at and drive.

Regardless, it's still the sexiest car for 20k.

One thing I have to mention though...my SE has the fugliest shift knob and boot I have ever seen in a car lol.

I like the car, theres nothing wrong with it, no problems, but it doesn't feel like I got a good deal. With the RA coming out at only $3k more than I paid for my car, it feels like I got ripped. Also, Scion tC, civic si, mazdaspeed3, Dodge srt4, hell just about every car under $20k is faster than the lancer, and they all have more after market parts than this lancer (I know its still a new car tho)

Until you find an RA in your dealership with a window sticker that's $3k more than what you paid, stop worrying about it.

You guys are all sitting around trashing on your car because of rumors and crap that hasn't happened yet. How about you actually enjoy the car you bought?

none of those cars you listed are under 20K....except for a base scion TC. And the RA is expected to retail in mid 20's...probably close to 24 or 25 so if you paid 22K for your GTS than thats your own damn fault for being a sucker.

PS - I had no idea the exchange rate was basically .9916 these days. Sad.

Sticker price is 22,715 for a fully loaded GTS CVT. I paid 22,002 after taxes, title, and tags. With how hard it is to find an electric blue GTS, your not going to get too much under sticker price (At least not in Maryland). I even had to wait a month after paying to get my car cause every dealership in MD was sold out of almost every GTS. So im not sad about getting a car $3000 under sticker(before taxes, ect.)

And to clear some confusion, I love my car. Im just giving some people ideas on what I would have done differently. One of the main reason why i probably wont trade up to a RA is insurance. With a NA 4cyl engine, insurance is kinda low ($260 a month), and the added $50 a month for my car is too much for me. Im kinda low on cash, so Im happy with the car I have now.

I don't know about guys that are complaining about their Lancer but, I Love min. I don't really have much problem with it beside the slight pulling to the left issue and the hard to start once in the blue moon and a little rattle from the dash but that can be fix. Other than that, this car is great. I'm a Honda fan too but for what you get for the money, not to mention the best looking car for its class the competitors’ can’t beat this car. I have this care for 8 moths now and up to this point I still get a lots of people asking about my car. Just the other day my neighbor who is an x-chief of police in my town kept say that he likes my car.

Nothing wrong with this mitsu yet. and with the cars he listed there aint no way to compare the lancer to those. Our lancers are almost fully loaded and those he listed are base model with not much at all. For the price and what you get its kinda hard to beat. People also need to stop comparing it to the srt-4 cause that car got replaced with the caliber. And the funny thing is the new lancer and 4b11 motor it runs was developed by chrysler daimler and hyundai. So not much complaints considering i got a ES with s&s and gts styling for 18K

I'm starting to lose faith in my GTS too. I've only had it for a month and half and it's been to the shop for unexpected problems three times already. Twice I had to take it cuz of the throttle sensor problem. They just ended up replacing the relays and now my HVAC would suddenly die with no warning, subwoofer's blown, and my car wouldn't even crank yesterday when I tried to start it. To top it off, my fiancé has an 08' ES which she bought in October and that one is running in perfect condition.

Yeah I guess this will also be my last Mitsubishi. I like the warranty and all, the fact that I'm not spending a dime to get things repaired but it's soooooo inconvenient taking it to the dealer everytime and not having a personal mode of transportation, especially during this cold winter month.

in my opinion.. i would rather get a car with no warranty, but its dependable.. rather than a car with slight problems with a 10 year warranty... unless they reimburse me for the time spent at the dealership lol
