Lancer Losing Props
Lancer Losing Props
Does anyone feel like there car is having to many problems? Like when I first bought the car I was so proud of it. But now it just feels like its going to be those junkers when its like 4 years old. You know what I mean. It doesn't seem like a solid car.
I could definately rag this car out in 4 years. Especially when i put my system back in.
Im sure mitsu will get all the issues corrected after a couple of years with new parts, and the warranty should cover all of it. Not going to help rattling interior panels from the bump though......

Unless you got a lemon or you drive it like you stole it you shouldn't be having a lot of problems and you got to remember you bought a first year totally redesigned car which tend to have some problems but hey I'm not worried with my 10 year warranty.
yeah.. this is my first car and its not as solid as i want it to be.. i mean my sister has a honda hybrid..and her car seems solid.. but it might be the way i drive... its not like i drive it like i stole it..but i drive it like a car should be driven lol
I traded in an '04 ES for my GTS and comparing the two would be like comparing apples to applesauce. The new model is way stronger/more solid in my opinion. My subs are shaking the crap out of everything so I am starting hear some noises but overall it's way better.

Yea, what i meant was the rattles. Im happy with my 10 yr warranty as well, and other than the rattles, it should hold together well. I am getting a ticking in my engine now after 8 days, as well as the sometimes getting stuck at 2k rpm. Scheduled to visit the dealer on Tues. I m sure this is just the new gen parts and being a guinea pig for mitsu.
I have no complaints about the car, really. For me, it's been very solid and reliable. Every now and then I hear this or that rattle in the cabin but mechanically it has been great, which is infinitely more important. Rattling can be fixed with 20 minutes of free time and some crazy glue
The guts of the car...not so much. I've had my Lancer since June and I still don't get tired of driving it or looking at it.
And what do you mean exactly by "ticking in my engine"? Like valve tap? Like a bomb?...do you have any enemies?
And to the OP: Looking at your mod list I can clearly see WHY your car rattles...you drive a stereo on wheels!

with the radio off when i hit a certain rpm the cabin and the door panels rattle just a little.. but like you said that can be fixed (door panels)...

guys i wouldnt worry about the issues, if they are serious enough, Mitsu would be more afraid of a Class action then to simply ignore it. if enough people complain they will do something about it.
the slight pulling to the left, ticking and rattling are hardly issues worth complaining over. Second you can sound dampen under your hood if you wanted to, and you can counter adjust your steering alignment to counter the pull.
complains about car not starting are more serious and from what i hear Mitsu is working on serious drivability issues like this right now.

yeah everytime i talk about the evo or the ralliart..my g/f brings me down to earth saying that my car is still a 20 thousand dollar car.. lol that humbles me... hehehe it could be worse.. i could be driving a 50hp geo metro... or even worse.. taking the public transportation!!!!
well for me my lancer has been just fine, i havnt had much problems with it ever since i got it, still feels like brand new to me. the only problems iv had with it is that when i shift to 2nd gear it doesnt feel as smooth as it use to, i mean i took it to mitsu and they told me that the problem it was doing that was that its cause i threw on a aftermarket shift nob so putting the stock one bak on should solve the problem, xcept when i put on the stock shift nob the problem still hasnt changed, and that if felt better when i had the aftermarket one on but now iv just basically gotten use to it
for me i think the car is still solid, but i guess the car doesnt really xcite me when i drive it compared to when i had a integra. i mean to me the lancer is still just a family car, myb when i mod it out ill start enjoying it more XD but w/e its all good
