Slight vibration when parked..

Hey everyone..just got my 2002, ES Lancer yesterday, After I drove it home..I put it in park, and put the e-brake on, and I was sitting there for a second looking at a couple things in the car and I noticed every 15 seconds or so the car would feel a little "uneasy", I dont even wanna say rough, it just vibrated a bit then stopped, then did it again..etc.. I got out, leaving the car running still, and listenened in front of the car..it would sound like the fan was comming on then turning off, then on..etc.. is this normal? thanks for the help.

yeah you are fine. if you are feeling un easy you can reset your ecu by pulling off the negative terminal for 15 minutes then re-connect and re-idle for 15-20 minutes than take it for a spin. I just did think cause i changed my intake. it was rough for a few stops but then it came back slowly and now after 20 miles all is well.

Oh I see, Yeah I should be fine..I was just wondering if that was normal. Do you have any idea what makes it do that?

The only time I notice something like that is when I'm waiting to go to work and I keep the car idleing and the AC running. So for me a shudder would simply be the AC compressor clicking on and off.

If you sit in park or have the brake on in gear and you have your air on it does that. I've also had it do that with car in gear and just the recirc. on, not even the air cond.
