Wheel hop?

Has anyone experienced any wheel hop on the 08 lancers? first launch i did with my DE was smooth, but then today it was rough. not sure if it was wheel hop or just that i was on a bumppy road. I'm gonna launch it again and see what happens.

My doesnt wheel hop anymore after they replaced those dunlops with pirellis. It would burn tires now with more energetic start, not jump...

If i try to do a good launch, meaning without a lot of wheelspin I get wheel hop. If I launch harder I get a lot of wheelspin but no wheel hop, but the more wheelspin the slower you go and the stock Yokohamas suck

ditto on the Dunlops... and I also have wheel hop from time to time. It mostly depends on the traction conditions of the road when I get it.

One of the things you can do to reduce wheel hop is replace your engine mounts with the Poly-engine mounts that RRM sells.

If you have wheelhop, you're driving like an a**hole. Or like a racecar, but I'm guessing you aren't talking about the racetrack...

I had some of the worst WH I have ever had on a lancer with my GTS (my 3rd lancer) it was jumping so bad I had to completly let of the gas and stop glad I didnt brake anything but it was a cold day so the tarmac was freezing and semi cold tires are beleived to be the problem.

don't launch so hard! its not a race car. You want a race car, then get a LS diff, whenever one comes out and bigger tires, and motor mounts.
