Go pump some iron and grease the hinges with a little axle grease

I Ive had to take three doors apart to fix little rattles and other noises that I hear. I like my **** dead quiet. The doors are the cheesiest part of the Lancer. They feel like empty soda cans. Need to add some serious sound isolation to em.

try a 2007 dodge caliber, after you close the doors on that you will see how good our doors actually are :P

I've found it kind of annoying, but its just a slight annoyance....My Jetta doors would not close properly at times as well. I've noticed I have to give these doors a swifter push than the VW though.

its most likely the seal for keeping road noise out, the more the seal, the harder to close the door, and you just gotta live with it.

I've had a few people complement how they like the way my doors close.

Personally I find they require a little more effort than what I expected..but I think that's just due to thick seals...which isn't a bad thing.

its not the doors, its the seals like stated above. They will get easier after awhile but most brand new cars have huge seals in the doors that can take extra effort to close

It's a combination of the two. The doors are very light. So, they don't have a lot of momentum to help them close when the seals hit. If you crack the sun roof (if you have one) the doors close very easily, all the time.

At any rate, if you think the doors feel "cheap" or like "tin cans" you can always, pull the panels and apply some sound deadening material to the inside of the outer door skins. It'll give the outer door skins a more solid sound and feel...
