Passenger Seatbelt Light??
Passenger Seatbelt Light??
All,
For the last year I might have been totally oblivious to this but; is the passenger seat belt light, next to the hazard button, always illuminated even when no one is in the seat? The air bag light shows it as off but the passenger seat belt light stays illuminated. Is everyone's light illuminated too??????

Well, nothing is ever in the seat, that is what i thought too. Called the dealer and those idiots have no idea. They said as long as the air bag light is not on it is OK. Can anyone else take a look at theirs??
I had this issue...although not with my car it was with the loaner DE they gave me. I would figure its a faulty sensor. Because the seat will sense weight and deploy the airbag faster with a higher weight than with smaller weight. It will also turn the air bag off if the weight is under a certain value.
You have a problem with your sensor. Tell them to maybe try to replace the sensor, and see if it turns off, if not you have a wiring issue.

If noone is in the seat and the light still flashes it could be the seat position is not in a full position. This was an issue with some other people on this forum.. This topic was already discussed and it has some other info in it. Sit in ur seat and move it back and forth then make sure it locks into a position. That should do the trick.
