Car Wouldn't Start...Very Weird

Okay guys...listen to this. Wednesday morning I got my wisdom teeth out and parked my car in the driveway since I knew I wouldn't be driving it for a couple days while on medications. Anyway, Friday morning before class, I go out to give it a nice vacuuming before the weekend and all, and I try to use fast-keyless to open doors...nothing, use button on key...nothing, ended up using the manual key to get in. I say to myself, FAK...how is my battery dead?! Let me just try and start car and see if anything happens...nothing. So I plug my battery into the charger and after FIVE minutes...its all good to go, I put it back in the car and everything is great. I really hate when something weird like that happens...does anyone know what would have caused that? I mean I know I didn't leave lights on, or any doors ajar, and it was only two days of letting it sit. It is real weird how it only took five minutes for it to be good to go. Does ANYONE know what could have caused that or what that means? Thanks.

Thanks for advice dude. How do you go about adding water to the battery? And what exactly would adding water do?

was the key in the "off" position as opposed to the "Acc/On" position? I'm betting you left your radio on for those two days...

No I did not leave it in ACC position.

Then on Friday I drove it to class and back, which is a mile away, and didn't drive it until Saturday afternoon and it did it again! I'm positive I'm not leaving anything on.

Maybe you have a defective alternator that isn't charging the battery like it should be. If I where you, I'd have the battery checked first before you potentially have to spend any money. It's too soon for the battery to have a problem, but it's the easier thing to check.

Thanks for advice. I was thinking bad battery that won't hold charge, or like you said, the alternator. But I'm thinking it's something with the battery since when I plug it in to charge, after five or ten minutes its fully charged.

LOJACK! It was installed wrong. I had the same problem. I took it to mitsu twice and they didn't fix it. Finally they called lojack to inspect it, and it was installed wrong

Make sure you read all the info on the battery before doing this. I know that some newer batteries you are not suppose to add water to it.

LOJACK huh? Is that the security system? What do you mean it was installed wrong? And since yours was (and possibly mine ) what would that do?

Well if you purchased the Lojack, it could be the problem. Well when they installed mine, I guess they wired it wrong. Not wrong as they didn't know what they were going, but because I guess the wiring of the Lojack is different in the Lancer GTS, then other cars. So if I wouldn't use my car for a whole day, the car wouldn't start when I tried because the battery ran low. So you might want to contact your dealer so they can send someone from Lojack and see if that's the problem.

Dont listen to any of the above post, all are false reasons. This very same situation happened to me before. Follow these steps:

- Open the car manually with the key
- Take off the knob at the car's key hole which starts the engine
- Place your key backwards into the car remote so that the key is sticking out but the head is in the slot
- Plug your key into the ignition and turn it while the key remote is attached to the head of the key
- Start the engine

*this is shown in your car's manual*
