is it a motor mount??

I have an 05 ES and it squeaks pretty badly on accel, decel, and clutch depression. WAIT...there's more. It doesn't squeak when cornering. When i accelerate aggressively the car veers to the left like its being pulled that way...and the squeaking mentioned above sounds like it from behind the dashboard. When i shift out of first while accelerating hard it CLUNKs into second, and when i try to shift through the gears while sitting still i have to push the clutch in and out to get it to shift. Haha...i mean more than usual of course. I looked under the hood as i'm new to mitsubishis but not cars in general, and i noticed a motor mount between the block and the firewall right about where i heard the noise coming from inside the cockpit. Is that a legitimate cause?? If so how does one reach it and does anyone have torque values? Thanks guys....

Bad motor mount or bad clutch or bad throwout bearing.

I don't undertand what you mean by not being able to shift through the gears while sitting still and pushing the clutch down.

its like...while the car is just idling....the stick wont slide into gear unless i pump the clutch pedal a few times. The car has 60k on it. maybe the previous owner was a crappy driver? I'd imagine that's an expensive fix. would the throwout make the car pull on acceleration?

Then I would check the master and slave cylinder first for leaks.

If you have to pump the clutch, its 100% a hydraulic issue. Try bleeding the slave cylinder.

if you have issues when idling and not moving, it's very unlikely to be a bad mount.
Do you have that problem when the engine is cold/warm/hot/AllOfTheAbove ?

60k, you're due for new trans oil.
As suggested, bleed your clutch but I don't think that will solve your problem. Unless you tell me the clutch pedal feels different after a few pumps.

If the clutch pedal always feels the same it'd mean the hydraulic pressure is not the issue. In that case, I'd crack open the trans, change the slave cylinder and inspect the input shaft bearing while you're in there. I'd tell you to check the synchro but I'm not familiar with it so I won't recommand anything in that regard.

All of the above. I thought that possibly the reason i had to depress the clutch pedal a few times was because the engine or trans had shifted slightly due to a bad mount somewhere. The clutch pedal always feels the same in regards to stiffness and rebound. So trans oil, slave cylinder. But would that only create noise when surging forward and back?

the clutch always feels the same, so the hydraulics are good.
We are getting into a territory I'm not familiar with enough to offer further advice, sorry. I'd rather not propose anything that may make things worst.

edit:
Actually... Here's something you can to do eliminate the throw out bearing since you said you need to pump the clutch to engage a gear.

Start the engine and stay parked.
Now just open your ears W I D E open and listen to your car
Push the clutch pedal all the way down, and listen. As the sound changed at all?
Now let go of the clutch pedal, and listen. As the sound changed at all?

If your throw out bearing is about to take a crap on you, you'll know it by doing just that.
When you push the clutch pedal all the way down, your trans will be quiet.
When you let go of the clutch pedal, there is a slight grinding/knocking/rotation sound that will come out of the trans.
That's a sign the throw out bearing(TOB) is about to go. TOB are known to fail early on Lancers.
