i've blown about 6 aftermarket bulbs. at first i thought i may have touched it, but nawww its the cheapness factor for sure. I bet when I put in the new PIA's or whatever they'll last a year..

I had a pair of 3A bulbs, bluish tint 4200k... driver side blew out just over 1 year, and the other one went out 2 weeks later.. went back to the silverstars I had in the closet... lets see how long these last

Your problem is cheap bulbs. I upgraded to higher wattage bulbs and one blew low beam only after 5 months. The fuse will not affect the bulb itself. The fuse may not hold the load that a higher bulb creates, but the fuse should fail first then. Most bulbs that sell around the $20 range are not quality, high-performance bulbs thus the price.

Look for a reputable, name brand manufacturer such as Hella, PIAA, or even Sylvannia for brighter bulbs. Maybe even web-search for rally lights-those guys know lights best.

Best of luck.

Jason

Eurolites - driver side just blew after 3 months. I understand. PIAA looks tempting...
