When i pulled my gas lever the gas lid would not open, so i had to use a screwdriver to open it up while my friend lifted the lever at the same time and it opened thankfully. But there was a broken part in which I believe is the why the lever wouldnt work.

This is the piece that is broken..




How do I find this piece and how can I fix it? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

hahah thats funny cuz maybe 3 months ago my clip broke while filling up.. i knew what it was that broke but im just lazy so i never bothered with it.. i usually just use a nickle or quarter to jam in between the gas and trunk lever to hold it up while i open the lid with my finger nails..lol it only works when i have long nails though.. otherwise i need my keys or something. didnt realize it was only a $4 part though...

 

mine broke to, about 2-3 months ago , apparently the new one at the dealer has revised plastic , its a quick easy fix .
