the other day i started my car and noticed that the heater fan turned on even though it was about 15 degrees out. This doesn't really make sense cuz i always leave it in the auto position, and it doesn't normally turn on until the engine has warmed up a bit. So after 3 days of driving, the fan still stays on. I assume the switch is broken so I'm gonna have to take it back to the dealer at some point to get it fixed. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

 

For anyone interested, it was the blower transistor that shorted out that caused the blower to work constantly.

+1 I would have guessed a relay, or a switch

 

it could be anything, just because someone had a previous issue and "that" was the problem, does not mean it will be the same again.

These cars are very technical with the wiring and ecu's that control these things. It could be a switch, relay, bad ecu ground, ect.
