does your lancer make noise, when you shut if off, to me sounds like some relay, making a clicking noise, or like some small motor noise running. does anyone know what im talking about.

 

yeah everytime I shift my lancer makes a noise, it sounds like it comes from the exhaust..it sounds good.

but nah, my lancer sounds fine when I shift...everything is tip-top

 

Small motor running, Is prolly the electric fans behind the radiator.

 

Yeah i hear the relay too, but its the feature that lets you roll your windows up for up the 30 sec after removing your key. When you open your door it deactivates it and i here the relay click

 

i did notice when i installed my filter, i had to reset the computer, so i unhooked the battery and that relay made the same noise,

 

My car does it too, and mines an automatic, its like a clicking noise almost, sure its nothing to worry about...

 

the clicking noise is something byt hte throttle body searching forsomethign that the casr isnt doin when it isnt running if you leave the keys in the ignition in the run position youl'l hear it every so ofter if the car isnt acualy running

 

i get a buzzing sound of something vibrating when i hit high rpms ....my intake is so loud it makes things shake =P

 

hopefully its normal cuz i do hear a click and hizz sound when i change gear.....

 

Fuel pump. That shuts off a couple seconds after the motor. That couold be what you hear.

I think that's partially the sound. It's the FI system predumping fuel into the engine before starting the engine. As for turning off the car, it's the relay or switches powering down the FP.

 

This noise drives me crazy when I'm sitting in my car without listening to music. Guess that why they put in a 100 watt stereo.

 

no, mine has never made a noise like that, u should take it to the dealer u bought it from and have it checked out

 

Nope dont know what noise your talking about but.....I get this noise like the cd player is spitting out a CD. I think it might be coming from the radio but it isnt on and there is no CD in the radio. Strange thing....oh well.
