Hid headache

I just had some hids installed about two weeks ago and all of sudden when I start my car (2010 Lancer gts) my dash goes crazy. It starts flashing my check engine light, low tire pressure, break service and overheating signals. On top of that you also here a weird electric sound as the car flashes on and off the caution signals (like if the car was having a seizure.) Then while this crap is going on, my lights also go crazy, including my tails. My ac and radio also switch on and off. Now mind you, all these things happen all together at the same time very rapidly but after driving a while it'll stop it's hot flashes. I took it to the dealership without the lights and they say that one of the sensors could have messed up and a buddy of mine tells me that it could have been how the ground wire was put in place. Can anyone figure this out or suggest?

Some Hid ballast are just very cheap and will do that , its not how they were installed but the quality of them , i remember i meet a guy on a 2010 Accord that if he would turn on his lights the car would turn off and it would toss 7 check engine lights .

its possible, but I am not sure that its 100% the kit unless its causing a short. Re check your wiring an see if there is something inverted somewhere. Look for a relay with the wrong wire grounded. or crossed. or anything that just doesnt look right.

...

after doing some reading i believe that it can be with my etach system. i took it to the dealers and o an invoice they wrote "high ampirage to etach ecu." Is this type of thing repairable or does a new ecu need to be ordered?

it means that something is wrong with the etach ecu and it is over drawing current. i would imagine you could get it fixed as a warranty issue.

This doesn't mean the ETACS is drawing amperage itself, its a wire you most likely put to ground that was 12V. If they figure that its drawing too much amps, then they should know which wire it was and have it fixed.
