what are the little rubber doughnuts on the stock muffler called, you know the things that allow it to move a little, and question two is where can i get them i want to get a better after market exhaust and when i put on my muffler i, like an idiot, threw out the rubber things cause i figured i wouldnt need them???

you mean bushings? or spacers? you'd probably have better luck posting this in lancer->general than in the OT

 

im not sure what the are thats why im askin i just know that they are like an oval shaped rubber piece that hold the stock muffler in place. if you look at the stock muffler it has little metal "arms" you could say and they go up into the car body and into the rubber piece then the rubber piece hooks onto the car body. basically its there to allow it some flexibility but also to hold it in place

 

yeah they are bushings, id say youd have to order em from the dealer or find a junked lancer because there are no aftermarket ones available for this car.

yeah i heard some people have real problems with there exhaust shaking a LOT and some have 'ghetto-rigged' there exhausts to not rattle so much.
