Evap Code
Hey guys/ Gals I'm new to this site as i just bought a 2003 Lancer ES about a week ago so I am a proud new owner and let me tell you I love this car! but about 5 days after owing it I got a CEL (check engine light) on my dash took it to a NAPA and they ran a diagnoses and told me it was a Evap code he explained that it could be my gas cap. I made sure that it was on tight so it wasnt that, went and had it tested so nope not that either as it passed. Now I know i need to have a smoke test done but I'm just wondering if anyone knows a common place to look first for leaks that would display that code? any advice would help and thanks so much for your time
.

Right, most of the time it's your gas cap not sealing properly.
Check your gas pump. You simply need to pull on your back seat to remove it and use a phillips screwdriver to unbolt a cap that will let you access it.
It would also be your injector o-rings.
