ok i fixed the problem....i think. I found that one of my 7.5 mini fuses under the hood was blown...so i replaced that and the bulb to the right taillight.

The tail light works again and the gauges light up again....but then my left taillight burned out...so I replaced that bulb...? Coincidence? Do I maybe have a short somewhere? Any ideas?

ive just had a similar problem.. maybe i should be checking the rest of the threads first, but i figure why not just ask now...

i just installed the black jdm headlights i got from drummerjun, they work great. i installed them last night, and everything worked fine. i get up, go to work today, everything is fine. driving home, everything is still ok. i go to the gas station, and when i turn my car back on, now that i think of it i dont remember the radio coming back on.

i first truly noticed something was up when i was in the cheap-o car wash they have, my clock was off, and my radio wouldnt turn on. dome light stopped working as well.

as far as what is going on right now, ive check all the fuses (except those in that yellow thing in the engine compartment, how do you get that off?) and they all look good. dome light doesnt work, neither do clock or radio. when the car is off, lights dont work, locks dont work...which usually do. when the car is on, all but the clock/radio/dome work, and when i turn my brights on, i get no light for it in the dash...?

im going to go check a few more things, but me and a friend are confused..

if one of your headlights and taillights are out you blew a fuse. i did that once when installing my license plate light on my body kit.

who wired the black headlights in for you, because I know it requires splicing wires...maybe something got wet when you were at the carwash and shorted?

Also I would suggest checking the fuse box under the dash if you havent done that. Pull the little stash box located near the lower left side of your steering wheel. On the side of it theres a diagram for what fuse is what. And Im almost sure that the fuses for the dome light and radio are in the panel under the dash.

i wired them myself, and ive wired quite a bit of other things. none of the wires were wet, i had checked that too just doubting myself.. both of headlights and taillights worked fine. i had upgraded my fuse as well when installing the lights.

turns out it was one of the fuses in the yellow cap thing under the hood. one of the #10 had blown out. makes me feel kind of dumb after posting my pity story. guess it just backs up the need to check that if your dome light among other things doesnt work.

for some reason i have no fuse for the radio under my dash, and it has a piece of plastic blocking a fuse from being put in it. everything is back to normal, so i am happy.

the #10 fuse for the interior lights blew out again... same one as before in the yellow carrier in the fuse box by the engine. i replaced it, no problem... but, im wondering how its caused, and if i can chunk in a 12.5 fuse or something? i dont want to keep replacing fuses every week or so...

keep in mind i wired those nice jdm headlights in, which was checked out by my dad who's done a lot of electrical work and said they were fine. same with my radio, although the ground is just kinda taped onto a piece of the metal inside there.. :P been meaning to fix that, but been lazy and it works anyway.

ok, crap. every new #10 i popped in blows immediately. nothing is running, at all. tried without the battery connected as well. the wiring in this car is odd. either that, or i've done something funky.

oh, the light behind the fan direction is easy to replace. takes a phillips screw driver and the new light bulb. its a #74, buy em from walmart or something for a few bucks. theres a how-to on removing the console stuff to replace them on the forums here somewhere...
