Yep so when i drive 40 mph or more the passenger front tire side makes a weird humming noise. Im getting new tires this week and hoping that it fixes the problem. Any suggestion?

 

got all 4 new tires and dam its still making that dam annoying humming noise!

 

Probably a wheel bearing going out

 

found out my outer tie rod was ****ed, getting it changed today and see if it fixes the problem

well got it changed and it fix my steering a whole lot, but the humming noise got a little quieter but not gone.

Quite possible. Is there any difference in the sound if you push in the clutch while rolling?

 

its auto and it cant be the tires got four new ones the other day. Im assuming it gotta be the hub or wheel bearing. The noise is coming from the passenger tire side. I did a quick tire shake test and everything was nice and tight =\

 

Ok well what about if you put it into nuetral while rolling does the noise go away or sound any different? more than likely its the wheel bearing but covering all areas. So you lifted the wheel off the ground and wiggled it then correct?

 

a new wheel bearing should fix your problem. you might as well replace both of them, only around $50/pc. i wish they sold a hub and bearing kit for the front. but they don't. so you will need to press out the old one and press in the new one

 

Okay Fixed!! Did tire test, no movement in the tires at all. Jacked up both sides and spin the tires and feel the springs. If theres play in the springs then the bearings are bad. Did that to both sides and the right side springs was moving alot. Took it to the shop and had it replaced and BAM! All the annoying suspension growling noise is gone. All together the cost was $160. They only charge labor if you bring your own parts so thats a +. I bought the bearing from oriellys auto parts for $20 and some change. So hopefully it lasts for a while.
