Blower Motor Problems - NEED HELP
Blower Motor Problems - NEED HELP
Ok so my blower motor has been making sounds for a while now. This winter it got VERY loud and just a month ago it finally died. I took it out and it is trashed. I bought a new blower motor on eBay (couldnt find any in the city, didn not go to dealership) and I plugged it in and nothing. Thought maybe the one I got on eBay was faulty so bought another one, still nothing.
Any ideas what the problem is? Tested power to wire and it has power? Could it be the ground? The fuse? Controls? Im still not 100% sure which fuse powers the blower motor. If someone could point that out, that would be helpful too.
Thanks guys. I am desperate as I live in Canada and I need a heater!!

first check the fuse in the fuse box, then check all your grounding wires, next check all power wires, after all that, check out blower that you bought from on ebay, if all fails, I would take it to a shop or dealership....but best to just go to a autostore and ask for a oem blower for your car and buy that if you want to save money, if that doesn't work if you bought a oem one, then well to the autoshop or dealer for sure
Could also be the resistor pack.
Do you have power at the blower connector? Ground? Does resistance change as you cycle the fan switch?
If you 'jumper' the blower motor to the battery (temp connect the wires straight to the terminals) does it spin?
Let us know!
