I bought a wrecked 2009 lancer gts and the driver side airbags were deployed , in order to pass a salvage inspection the airbag light must be off. so ive got three options that i can think of
1. Replace the module with a new one $700.00 from the dealer ( last resort)
2. Get a used module from a car that the airbags were not deployed
3. Find a sneaky way to disable both the airbag light and the airbag warning message in the information center.

Has anyone tried any of these or does anyone have any more ideas they
can give me

 

I highly recommend you choose option 1 or 2.

If i find a used moduel do you know if the dealership can program it to work in my car?

 

They should be able to reprogram it. Here is the process for a 09 Lancer with the 4b12 engine. It should be the same for all engines.
