I bought a used 2010 lancer about 3 months ago. Now I seem to be having this issue where every morning when I'm leaving for work I will turn left to get out of my apartment parking lot and as I'm correcting to go straight again this loud CLUNK sounds. At first I thought it was coming from the front end, but now it sounds like it's coming from the center? I'm have an appointment with the dealership tomorrow, and even though it's under warranty they are still attempting to charge me for a diagnostic... so I thought I would come here first before wasting my money.

Any input?

 

Did you at least check the tire rods yourself?

 

Honestly, I'm very inexperienced when it comes to this kind of stuff.
And now I feel a little silly for asking, but what exactly am I looking for?! I checked to see if there was anything hanging around the tire... but I have no idea what I'm doing haha.

 

Then read up on basic drive-line troubleshooting.
Check the tire-rods and CV-joints as they usually make that noise you have described.
