hooking up a tach
hey anybody know how you hook up a tach up to a lancer oz?
i have a autometer tach and i just cant figure how to hook it up. and i dont want to throw $200 at a shop to hook it up for me if i can do it myself. any help would be appreciated

too good for a pretty stock tach guage?or do did you get a blind mans tach where its like the size of a pumpkin on your dash~
But to answer your question i would assume try looking @ the plugs @ the back of the stock tach and try to match to the new one? i dont really know but worth a try~

make sure the tach...is dual guaged....i believe thats the term for it...you see with mitsubishi cars such as the eclipse and the lancer the hook up woth tachs have to be dual guage, i dunno uf you already new this or not, i bought an R1 a last year for my lancer..and mah mechanic told be bout this stuff...then only people who were able to make a tach that would fit was autometer....but they were charging meeh over...250...thats when i came to realize that the stock tach is just fine....is anything...just get a shift light...of APEXI rev speed meter....
