Seeing ntran's dyno of 171 whp on his auto, with only 5 psi, stock tb, and 2.25" axle back exhaust, 200 whp should be doable.
200 whp is very doable for an auto...but i don't think i would hold 200 whp all the time..that should be a race setting...5 psi for driving around and 7 psi for a race. jus so you don't hurt the slushbox.

ok let me get this straight
its not possible to get an intercooled turbo on an auto? welll it is but the piping is such a pain its not worth it? i have an auto but i want to run 7 psi is this possible? i don't really care about whp from this turbo i will do some other mods to get me over the 200 mark i am not about to rely on a turbo to solve all my problems
where would this put me, educated guess
turbo
turbo cams(valve springs also)
cat-back
rrm tb
fuel pressure regulator
turbo controller of some sort
and eventually some reverse domed pistons w/rods

Call me we can get a kit together just for you. No piping. You can get it done yourself. Give you a break on price since ther are no pipes.

to answer majin, I come from the old school, valvetrain and general beefing-up of the internals just seems smart if you want an engine you can really get crazy with and not have to worry too much about longevity. Do you want to haul *** or just get somewhere close is my thinking.
warranty issues
i would love to run a turbo in my car. only question i have is, will it void my warranty. or is this a question better asked to the dealer. seeing as some of you have done turbos, what have the dealers told you? i dont know how they could honor it when you know there will be someone out there who will put a turbo and a boost controller in, crank the boost and blow the motor. i dont think
will be inclined to give away free motors. any feedback would be cool.

it will definately void the warranty unless your dealer has some side company that installs turbos for you. my friend is plannin to get a lexus IS and he asked the guy about adding a turbo and such and he replied with a worried face
EDIT: nvm my question

Turbo sounds so tempting, but I'm worried about installation.
The piping and mounting the turbo should be ok, the part that scares me is the fuel upgrades and installing a boost controller!
Can anyone list the steps of installation in general terms!
Rock maybe you can give us some input, I know you say we can call you and you can walk us thru but I really like to see it posted here for educational purposes!
Liquidlance and Zlancer, maybe you guys can help me too!
