Hey Rock, is there even a company that makes forged rods for the 4G94, and if so who. Forged internals seem like a good idea for longevity but are the worth it with say 8PSI? And I think your kit comes with a by-pass valve right? Can you change it to a blow off valve instead or is that overkill? And on the turbo, is the T28 the way to go 'cuz I met a guy with another OZ and he decided on the T03Super60. I dont know if he was just blowing off like he was a Greddy tech or was he for real.

T-28 has more than enough potential and it is an overall compact turbo for the amount of h.p. it makes. Our kits all have BOV. On non-ic it is kinda hidden.

Whose car (if you don't mind my asking)? I know hartlancer and one other who are/will be running T3's. I know for a fact that 3 techs at Turbonetics recommended the T3 Super 60, but yeah...it's kinda big. The compressor is bigger, but the turbine wheel is the same size as other T3's.

The T28 is probably the best source for low, medium and high rev power as well as for raising the boost later on. The T3's apparently use different flanges too though so I don't know if it'd work with the RRM return pipe as is. It's also a bigger housing so it may not fit between the radiator and head. I can't say for certain, but those would definitely be concerns if you were thinking of something like that.

How much would a kit be without the turbo? I can get a turbo off my brother-in-law for free and I believe it is a T28.

Hobie, you are correct. Bigger turbos don't fit between radiator and engine. On 3G Eclipse (4 cylinder) you can fit bigger turbo. Extra 4 inches of clearance. Yes kit still comes with colored piping.

yes rock, i don't believe anyone that can fit a T3 housing in the Lancer's space. Even if you did somehow manage to fit it I think it would be too close to the radiator and would cause heating problems. T-28 is the pefect way to go for the 4G94.
