I am calling level 10 today to speak with them regarding tq converters.

I will let you all know what happens.

EDIT: Just hung up the phone with Level 10. They offer an upgraded TQ converter, you ship your's to them they upgrade it by putting in a better stator, furnace brazing the fins and upgrading the lock-up clutch. They get a stall speed of 2,800 to 3,400 to me this seems a tad high for a daily street driver. May want to add a ATF cooler if you do this.

 

Tops, you commented the autos were running good times. Any times you can report compared to stock? (I dont know stock times for the auto, too embarrassed to race it, lol) AT any rate, nice job on getting the auto done. ANyone running it yet that can comment on its performance?

Oh yea, how will this ECU run with lets say, just an intake? Just wondering, still not up to speed on the art of tuning ECUs.

Ran 18.786 with a 2.680 60' time and a .957 RT

Sorry I wasnt very clear with my comment. At the sclc meet we went to California Dragway and were racing 1/4 mile. I meant to say that the guys with manuals and the ecu's were running great times. I am almost bone stock with just a cat back exhaust and my best run was 17.6. One other guy had the ecu and i think he might just have had intake or so and ran a 17 i think. Might have been lower though. But you are supposed to get around the same gain as manuals so I know that it will be a great mod. Their dyno they gave for the manual ecu proves it.

 

thats some great news. do you think the level 10 kit actually works with our cars? any one try it? the whole kit.

 

the whole kit is really a new tranny...for $3000 they totally overhaul your tranny and replace almost everything but the gears.

That is correct peoples. I'll be dropping my car off to them after I run my car on a 1/4 mile. They even said that thay would give me a loaner till they finished (at least they did a while ago). I wanna run my car after the level 10 upgrade.

i spoke with level 10 and they do not currently have the shiftronic programmed for our car, they do not have the re-build kit but the are planning on doing it. if they got a donor car i am sure it would be easier on them.

As for mods all i had on my car at the time was stock everything except for the RRM intake. next time i run will be with my RRM Turbo.

 

But they definitely upgrade the Torque Converters. Just gotta send yours in.
