Greddy silencer?
Greddy silencer?
Hey guys i think my next mod is going to be the Greddy catback but there are 2 problems. 1 warranty and 2 the sound. See I want to keep the warranty for shure, if I put this on will it mess up my engine or make mitsubishi ***** and moan about warranty. And 2 I know the exhausts are loud, and i like this but only sometimes. Not when i am going on a 400 mile trip tho (home from school) so is there a silencer for the greddy catback. If bolth these are met i am buying one verry soon.
i highly doubt there's a silencer for the greddy. correct me if im wrong, but i've never heard about or seen anyone using silencers on their them. the greddy isnt even that loud [in-cabin]. i could barely hear it with the windows up and the music playing at a moderate volume. when im traveling around 60-70mph, the car sounds stock, just to let you know. the greddy is only loud in the 1k-2.5k rpm range. as for warranty, there's nothing you could do but ***** at them back and complain that the exhaust was NOT the cause of the problem

Majestic is right. You shall be good to go. With warranty they cant do crap. And dont know of any silencer for Greddy. 2 of my friends have greddy exhaust and not loud at all in cabin.
Greddy Evo 2 Catback
I have the Evo 2 Catback system installed on my 2003 lancer oz rally and I love it. It has everything you are looking for. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that it it a little too quiet. I can hardly tell it is there when I am cruizin down the highway. I don't know too much about this thit but i'm guessin its so quiet because of the resinator. That was before I did anything else to my exhaust. So I ordered the high flow cat from RRM, strapped that ***** in and that helped quite a bit. It sound a lot better. One thing I really like about the whole system is that it doesn't sound ricey at all. It just has a nice low throaty sound that anyone with a civic w/ a f***'d uf exhaust could appreciate. I think that it sound decent the way it is now but I can't wait to see what it will sound like when I install RRM's header and Buschur's downpipe. God I hate waiting. But anyway if you end up going greddy I really don't think that you'll regret it. Not to mention it looks f***'n pimp. Oh, you might also want to know that if you install the exhaust withought some kind of heat sheild, you will end up burning your bumper. I just went down and bought some stainless steel sheet metal and made my own. But I had to tools to work with so if you don't you can check this site out. www.lancershop.com They sell what you'll need for a pretty decent price I think, considering how much time it would take you to do the same thing yourself.

the GReddy exhaust is a nice system minus the burning of the bumper. imo i think it's WAY overpriced.. Does anyone know the inlet of the greddy exhaust? If its 2.5 i wanted to run the buschur 2.5 high flow cat and 2.5 dp. whats the inlet on the rrm header compared to the kamikasee header?
