Az3ar ----- It's Rape not Ripe.

Buy the way......I seen a new R32 get crushed by one of those old SuperCharged Buicks....Man I almost crashed with my car from laughing so much. I pulled up at the light and I wanted to see who was driving these cars. In the R32 some dude and his Girlfriend or Wife or something. In the Buick it was a freaking old man. Man I was laughing even harder. They both look at me like I had something wrong with me. They guy in the R32 wanted to come out of the car and wanted to hurt me I think. I would have told him to wait for me to get into this buick and then he could try to come and catch me..... Hahahaha.... Ohh man, there are some funny things that happen sometimes..... I really can't believe how cheap the R32 really is. I would never worry about the R32 I do noean NEVER.....

Stock for stock, it's not that much slower than an EVO in the 1/4. Guys on VWVORTEX are posting upper 13.8 to low 14s. What’s a few 10s of a second? Big deal. The car was never intended to be a direct competitor with the EVO or the STi. I know what Buick you are talking about, I bet it would give you a run for your money or beat you.

low 13's compared to low 14's is 10 car lengths, which looks like a lot on the 1/4...

I *think* he was referring to the Buick Grand National or T-Type which were turbo, not SC.

The few R32 owners I have run into were okay. One assumed I was just a typical N/A RS or GS and had to get an education - he said I was a "little" faster after I put about four cars on him over a short distance. Another dropped by the store checking out a used Evo we had saying he couldn't believe how quick they were. One of our customers must have shown him.

And lastly when I worked the car show a few VW enthusiasts dropped by to see the MR, saying they liked their car, but couldn't believe how much power the Mitsubishi had with just 2 liters. They gave proper respect to the WRC legend.

I have an R32 myself and I love it but when it comes to speed and track the EVO is just a monster. the R32 is fun machine to drive easy clutch and not loud or harsh on my a$$ . It has great reliability and VW have great customer service.

BTW you live in VA shoot me a pm when you go autoX and we can go together (if you don’t mind)

I swear to you that it was a Buick Regal or some $hit like that, but it had Supercharge writen on the back. What kind of crack are you on to say the R32 can beat Evo. Hahaha I want to see the R32 beat the Buick first.... I wipe the floor with the R32. I have a car from the dealer...S60 T5 which is a loaner and man does that thing ever smoke the R32s.... I even wopped stage 2 tuned Srt-4. Please do your research. I work at the dealer and I know what R32 or VW for that matter can do. VW is Germany's $hit for USA and the rest of the world. It's a very cheap build car by the German's and Now by Mexico..... Hahahaha

on another note, VW's customer service is only second to Mitsubishi's in the SUCK *** department...man their warranty and customer service suck!!! When i was a regular member of Vortex when I had my 03 GLS there were just as many "warranty voided" threads over there as there are here...and their parts dept knows nothing...I called right when the new GLI came out wanting a price on the sideskirts and rear lip...the guy said VW doesnt make an 04 GLI and VW doesnt have any cars with bodykits...i about shat myself

You know there is a saying that my father used to tell me:

Don’t throw rocks at people when your house is built out of glass.

DO you think our EVOs are well built?? Because if you do I will smack you up side down.

VW owns Porsche and Audi and they make the finest cars on earth so stop bashing and talking none sense. VW are built well and their customer service is great period.

EVOtagger ------ Thank You for the corrrrrrrrrrrrrrrection...... hahahaha

I know man...My partner that sells cars with me now, used to sell cars for VW...He told me that he has never in 25 years of car sales seen so many complains like VW owners. He said that when the new R32 came out. People would just come in look at the sticker and leave. Also if you want to know what other brands suck let me know and I'll let you know which ones to stay away from, buy the way......"Mitsu dosen't void the warranty, it's the Reps." Volvo fired their reps, got new ones and it's one of the coolest company when it come to warranty. Mitsu will get better soon, or maybe when a nuke falls on them...... Either one....

Oh, okay. I guess old is a subjective term. You must mean a 97+ Superhcarged Regal GS. Not an early eighties turbo Buick. The car you are talking about had four doors, right? They can be made to be pretty quick. I've seen a video of a Pontiac Grand Prix (same car) running 10's. Pretty nifty for a heavy FWD, even though there was a staggering investment made and the car converted to turbo.

I am not too fond of VW because of what I've witnessed selling used versions of them. May seem odd coming from a Mitsu guy and many people would dismiss my opinion as pot/kettle sort of thing, but I think their quality is very hit or miss, and when they miss - they miss badly. I do think the GTi and R32 are good looking cars, but I don't want one.
