it DOES happen as often as i say it is, that's why i'm saying it

it takes one hell of a driver to get an Evo into the 12's, just like it takes one hell of a driver to get a z06 in the 11's.......but a good driver can EASILY run low 12's all day...either way, an Evo's best case scenario doesn't compare to the Z's best times

pb24 is much, much closer to reality than rt turbo boi. I see 116-117mph traps all day long on bone stock '02+ Z06s here DFW, elapsed time in very low 12's (for the better Z06 drivers). There are a few guys on Corvetteforum who have run high 11's at 117mph completely stock except for drag radials.
A modded Evo can pull on a stock Z06, a modded Z06 can pull on a modded Evo. What's your point?

This thread was about someone giving their personal opinion on a test drive and some people turned it into a pissing contest. Unfortunately you get this behavior on every damn forum you go to.
The vette handles great, great acceleration, and I personally like the interior styling of the new Z06.
I don't think I could drop $50K on a Vette, no matter how well it performs, when you can get into a really nice used 911 for that sort of cash. 911's are cool. I guess some people still care about the Vette.

let's all play nice, fellas. we're all car enthusiasts, that's what we have in common. you can joke about stuff, but eventually ego's get tripped. i hear same **** on honda-tech. ppl have clips where they beat evo's on road course in civic hatch etc etc. it always goes like this: buy car X that u can afford, mod it for X amount of $ that u can afford...proceed to beat a guy with car Y with Y amount of $ in mods. it gets old.
look, there's nothing wrong if some car is faster than urs...what's the big f'in deal? can't u sleep on it? i don't care which one is t3h f4st4rZ. if i could afford a vette and it had the practicality that i want, i would get it. i sat in C6 and it is very nice, i like the driving position and 2 doors and i'm sure it's stupid fast. there r faster cars than my evo (including other evos), but i still like those cars. i think many ppl don't have the ***** to admit being slower. it takes a man to acknowledge a defeat. instead they start bashing either domestics or rice burners. give it a fudging rest!
also about skidpad numbers. i agree with someone who pointed out that those numbers don't always mean better handling. it only shows overall grip in a steady state. doesn't show suspension's dynamic response and transient states (that's what slalom tests do). anyway. everyone, quit ur b!tchin and go for a drive instead of reading this thread.
