The Most Overrated and Underrated Cars?
I think that the EVO is underrated because people thinks it's another ralliart, just better looking. I would say that the SRT-4 is overrated because the owner have be asses when driving it, thinking that they could beat any car on the road. This is just my 2 cent.
Underrated off the top of my head
PT Cruiser turbo- same motor as SRT, ugly and if you got beat by one you would be pissed
MX-6 GT 90-91- If you can find one it will sell for about 4k-5k, and with another 1k in mods this car will run 13s, once again if you got beat by this car you would be pissed
The RA Lancer...nuff said

Evo-As much as I love this car and its the only sports car I wanted it is over hyped. Everytime I talk to my 17yr old cousin all he want to talk about is my Evo and the videos hes seen of Evos acting stupid.

3000ways - First off, I don't see any personal attacks. Just people sharing their opinions.
As far as the Z goes, you are incorrect on the price. It is not 30k. I picked my '05 BRAND SPANKING NEW for $26.5k. Had I gone the next model up, I had the numbers at $28k. 26 and some change IS NOT 30. I also disagree when you said that the G35 is underrated...
... reason being that it is just a luxury 350Z! Oh, and the price is a bit more than the Z as well. Don't believe me, go to your local Nissan and Infinity dealerships and play the number game! 
Any other reasons that it is a better car and better package?
Care to enlighten us on what "apple" it would relate too? I bought mine because I felt that it was the best "apple" of the bunch. Just because it is the fastest or slowest doesn't make it the best.

Srt4 IMO is underated. It gets a TON of bang for the buck. It's a good car all around. So what if it's a Neon, an Evo is just a Lancer with AWD and a turbo. Look at the runs that it will pull against an Evo (don't give me the whole an Evo will eat it routine...). It is a fast car and is not nearly as expensive as similar cars that would produce the same numbers!

The Z car is great, but still overrated in my opinion, very few people will get a brand new Z for $26K so stop using the absolute base price as an average to sway the facts onto your side. Most Zs cost around $30K, don't believe me go to your local Nissan dealership and see. Like I said great looking car, but I believe it's performance is overrated, sure it can beat some cars, will destroy my Audi no doubt, but compare apples to apples, and you will see the Z car is quickly overmatched.

Srt4 IMO is underated. It gets a TON of bang for the buck. It's a good car all around. So what if it's a Neon, an Evo is just a Lancer with AWD and a turbo. Look at the runs that it will pull against an Evo (don't give me the whole an Evo will eat it routine...). It is a fast car and is not nearly as expensive as similar cars that would produce the same numbers!

You're of course entitled to your opinion...yours just happens to differ greatly from the majority of car professionals on the face of the earth in addition to me. Check this one out for starters where Top Gear picks the Z as "car of the year". Yeah, "quickly overmatched".....(laughing).

Oldschool I agree w/ you 100%. I just sold my 1995 MX6, S/C'd @ 6psi it was ~230whp, tho diff engine than the 1st gen mx6, they are fun cars at 164hp stock and 2600lbs. The 1st gen mx6 are obscene, easy mods = huge bang for buck, 4WS(sick for grip driving) on some of them, and ugly as hell stock, not to mention, the F2T and KLZE's are amazing engines. mazda owns.
Overrated = all weak AWD platforms that sap ~30% from crank (wrx, GSX), nothing is more decieving than saying a WRX has 253 at crank but in actually it is under 200 at wheels and a stock wrx at anything other than a launch, and including a launch...blows. I'd rather have my old 1995 mx6.

Most overrated: Nissan Skyline GT-R. They're wonderful, but some people seem to think they can fly and shoot laser beams or some similarly ridiculous bull****. Great motor, great AWD system, would buy one in a heartbeat if I had money coming out my ***. Just to be clear, I'm not saying they're bad in any way (maybe a bit bulky at WORST), but their being overrated is completely independent of their actual ability at this point.
Most underrated: I admit I make this claim from a position of bias, because I happen to love the cars... MKII Celica-Supras. Inline 2.6l 6, 24v, RWD, and classic 80's Japanese sports car styling. I hope to pick one up in the next few years. I'll admit they're not the best on handling, but there's a lot of easily overlooked desirable qualities in them as well. I think they're largely overshadowed by the AE86 Corollas nowadays, which, in my opinion, is a shame.

if the sti is on there, then the evo has to be too

-both my evo, and a friends sti get waxed by a local cobera
if the sti is on there, then the evo has to be too

hell, my mildly modified (big 16g) automatic gsx at 18psi ran a 13.4@103.7 and keeps up with my stock 03 evo.
