Used M3

Hey all. i was surfing around yahoo autos and i found this sweet M3. The only issue is that its a 40 odd thousand dollar car that the guy is selling for like 7 thousand. does anyone have carfax or something like that to check this car out for me? The engine must have been switched, but i dont know exactly what happened to it. i wouldnt drive it much, just summers since im going away to college, but a potential oppertunity like this i can not pass up. thanks.

maybe ... my guess is its probably an insurance car, got in a huge accident, had insurance pay for the repairs, and now that the car is basically worthless, becuase no one would really want to buy a car that was basically totaled and rebuilt, he might be trying to get rid of it.

another thought is that there is really no engine or interior, but what is in the pictures is made of cardboard ...

im trying to think on the positive side, lol.

it is kinda shady, but i mean if it was rebuilt by someone reputible, like bmw (eventhough if it were, i dont think it would be sold for only 7 grand) it might be worth a look. i mean i really want an M3 but dont have the cash for a new one, so this one might be good. it wont even be an every day car, just a toy. so does anyone have a carfax account?

and p.s. no need to flame, i know this is kinda bs, but im really interested

use it as a parts car... definitely see if you can find a carfax for it.... try and find a M3 with no options so you can get a good price... then transfer what you want off that car.... Unless its a scam of course then dont bother.

check out www.scamboards.com
they have a couple of cases like that from various car trader/sale sites.

Usually the guy has a super low asking price with some kind of story about going over seas and that he needs to unload this car fast and super cheap. But then asks for some kinda deposit (only a couple hundred dollars) in a money order. Then bounces with the check if any one is gullable enough to send in.

It might be legit but odds are its a scam.

who cares if it's rebuilt? think of all the panties flying off the college girls as they jump in your sexy-looking car. do it for the underwear man, do it for the underwear.

That car is pure sex. I'd consider buying it at that price even if it was rebuilt.
