Sold Evo Bought R32
Hey what ever your happy with go with it. The R32 is a compromise over the EVO which trades some performance for luxury. I realy like the new one coming out of Germany. Well there will always be EVO's around if you feel the need to come back.
I've driven multiple R32's (perks of the job) and as heavy and "underpowered" as they are, they are a very nice drive and they feel remarkably quick.
I actually almost bought one before I started working for Forge!
Good choice!

**** off to all the fanbois calling a Golf R32 a bad ride or girl's car. It just shows you've never driven one or sat shotgun. I have nothing but respect for that car. My buddy sold his WRX wagon for an R32 and has nothing but positive things to say about it after almost 20k miles on the clock. He let me drive it just before I bought my Evo. It's a great handling car with plenty of low-end torque. It's heavier than an Evo, but it doesn't feel like a heavy car. It's also less powerfull than the Evo, but it doesn't feel anything like a weak car. It's also very comfortable even on the most beat up roads. The seats are aggressively bolstered, the shifter is smooth as silk, and the rest of the interior looks like something you'de find in your boss's BMW 540i. It's not nearly as raw as the Evo or STi (and it's not intended to be), but I gaurantee half the fanbois in here knocking it would be driving one if not for the Evo or STi.

Too bad your "manhood" is based on what you drive. I never saw a gender requirement for this car. Some people prefer something a bit more refined than the EVO. Performance is a great thing, but it's not always the number one priority for a car owner.

Male = Evo, Vette/Z28/TA, Mustang GT/Cobra
Female = All VWs, all Volvos, 350z/G35, V6 Mustang, all Civics/Accords, Camrys, all Wagons (including WRX), 3-seris Bimmers, C-series Mercedes, etc
Do men drive all of these cars? Do women drive all of these cars? Yes on both, but each vehicle still carries a persona that is unavoidable.

I know that's not in the same class, but I went with the Evo knowing it was raw. It has a purpose, and that's to race. The R32 looks like it's supposed to be able to race, has components that make it seem like it's supposed to race, but then in the end is not meant to race. That's fine for people who don't race, but many of the R32 owners I come across think they are in the same "class" as my Evo. My how they get deflated afterwards...

I see more men driving 350z's than women. I see men in Miata's dominate at autocrosses. I say drive whatever the hell you want.
