Scorke
Shep recently ran a 7.9XX @ 179 mph, so the potential is there, its just a matter of time.
All I know is that if a Supra made love to a Evo you would get a Skyline (R34) and that owns us both as it has the straight line speed of a Supra, yet AWD for launches AWD until traction is found THEN RWD, best car Ever.

Also Jasil, man you don't seem to be that bad of guy, but I just don't understand you sometimes. I qoute you on this "It seems lately more and more youngins are thinking the EVO is the baddest thing this side of John Force...", where would you think that, because we get excited when one of our cars runs a very fast time, what should we say? How should we act? Should we be like-
"Congrats Dan, your car is fast, but Supras...,"
Find me a post in which anybody in this thread claims the EVO to be the baddest car this side of John Force-

Get over it dude, some of us like our EVOs a lot, and I wouldn't trade it for two or three Supras, does that mean I think my car is the baddest car on the planet, no, just means I love my car, and guess what this may be the other car section, but it is still part of an EVO ENTHUSIAST website.

Regardless that fact that shep ran a 7.97 regardless of the trap means that he is actually able to transfer power to the ground unlike some other big hp rwd monster cars....
Having a high trap speed means there is potential to go faster, but actually being able to get a faster 1/4 time is a lot harder than it seems...
Why does everyone keep bringing up Shep?? Just wondering because his car is a full tilit 100% race car running straight METHANOL...DID YOU HEAR ME METHANOL!!
These supras are running C16 not even VP Import.

Apples to oranges man, why do you keep bringing up supras, they have 6 pistons.....did you hear me 6 pistons!!!!!!!!!

No problem Scorke as long as we are clear that supras can be made faster that's all. I heard ya, but if you have any drag background you know the difference between pure Meth and VP16 you'll know that comparing those two fuels are apples to oranges.
THIS JUST IN:
The Chevrolet Corvette can be made faster than the Dodge SRT-4. Experts aren't quite sure exactly why this phenomenon exists, but they've spent countless hours working on it.
"We're pretty sure that the extra displacement may have something to do with it," says MIT PhD. Edward Pointdexter, "although maybe it's just that the Corvette is a cooler car that's been around longer than the SRT-4."
While competing camps argue that the Front Wheel Drive setup hurts the SRT-4 at the drag strip, almost all of the researchers could agree on one thing - the fastest Corvette is way faster than the fastest SRT-4. In fact, the slowest modified Corvette is nearly faster than the fastest SRT-4. "It almost defies common logic, but we're about to prove that a larger engine can actually produce more power!" claims Robert Hightower, UCLA Professor Emeritus of Advanced Engineering and Automobile Engine Dynamics and Physics with an emphasis on Common Sense and Knowledge.
If proven, this would be a heartbreaker to the millions of so-called "ricers" in the United States and around the world who think they can make a 1.8-2.5liter car faster than a 5-7liter car with virtually the same modifications.
Once this project is over, the scientists will resume their previous study: "Why the Daytime is Brighter than the Night".

Toyota > BMW
and no I don't mean in cars, I mean in service and reliability.
Also supra > evo
I rather have a supra than a evo, but that's just me. Plus, I live in southern california I don't need to worry about "winter" as it's mostly a myth here. Only thing that holds me back from actually getting a supra over an evo is 4doors, price and mileage.
