These supras are running C16 not even VP Import.

Why keep bringing up displacement. If you are going to race or compare the cars don't use excused. At most supra events, we battle vipers (turboed) and vettes. We don't complain about displacement, we just race and have fun. If you're going to beat a supra in your evo and brag about it, then don't talk about displacement when you line up and lose to one. Fact of the matter is, you lost to a more powerful, better tuned car.

I rather have a supra than a evo, but that's just me. Plus, I live in southern california I don't need to worry about "winter" as it's mostly a myth here. Only thing that holds me back from actually getting a supra over an evo is 4doors, price and mileage.

"We're pretty sure that the extra displacement may have something to do with it," says MIT PhD. Edward Pointdexter, "although maybe it's just that the Corvette is a cooler car that's been around longer than the SRT-4."
While competing camps argue that the Front Wheel Drive setup hurts the SRT-4 at the drag strip, almost all of the researchers could agree on one thing - the fastest Corvette is way faster than the fastest SRT-4. In fact, the slowest modified Corvette is nearly faster than the fastest SRT-4. "It almost defies common logic, but we're about to prove that a larger engine can actually produce more power!" claims Robert Hightower, UCLA Professor Emeritus of Advanced Engineering and Automobile Engine Dynamics and Physics with an emphasis on Common Sense and Knowledge.
If proven, this would be a heartbreaker to the millions of so-called "ricers" in the United States and around the world who think they can make a 1.8-2.5liter car faster than a 5-7liter car with virtually the same modifications.
Once this project is over, the scientists will resume their previous study: "Why the Daytime is Brighter than the Night".

dudue seriously, well done!!!!!
also, i don't care what any of you say:
i will take a supra or evo and have a blast. both are amazing cars and you can't go wrong with either one. yes, the supras are expensive but guess what, people willing to pay so it is just a matter of supply and demand. also, i will put Toyota reliability against ANY other manufacture and i will bet you that they will win hands down. when the world comes to an end, the only things that will be left are cockroachs and toyotas....

Having a high trap speed means there is potential to go faster, but actually being able to get a faster 1/4 time is a lot harder than it seems...

Ok. If you want to brag about how supras are this and that, that is your opinion. If you think 8 are great...then how about NHRA. Last time I checked, the fastest land vehicle was NOT a Supra. Get off your soap box and do something productive with your time. I would love to see how you do on a moutain pass. You sound like a redneck you thinks a mustang or camero is the best thing around. I have not seen a post yet where a person thinks EVO are the best. Ever heard, "To Each Their Own?" It is an opinion. To you a supra is this UBER cool car, to me I would crash it off the side of a mountain for the heck of it.
