And a Cobra in this area put down 800/800 SAE at only 19 pounds of boost. And this car was SAE corrected. Can only imagine what it would do on 25-30 pounds of boost.

Only 27psi what will happen if they ever turn it up to 35psi? It was alot more fun when big honking V-8's didn't play with turbos!!

Import guy "Yeah, man I got turbo running 30psi"

Domestic guy "So, do I!"

Import guy "Uh-Oh"
in all honesty, i respect ur knowledge about cars.

but it seems u're always out to "educate" us on how bigger displacement engines are superior in making power than smaller displacement engines...

.....as if we didn't know that

maybe u should sell ur Evo and buy a 03 cobra? add that to ur incoming viper gts and u should be a very happy man

just reading ur posts in the past gives me the impression that the Evo isn't really the car u want to be driving.

SAE is fine near sea level, because there is no correction for barometric pressure (altitude), but rather just the weather conditions (e.g. temperature). Those corrections also aren't right, but they provide very minimal differences unlike the 25% increase that we see up here at altitude,

My last dyno was 300whp/337wtq uncorrected, but with SAE, it was 378whp/425wtq. Haha, yeah, right. It was a 1.26 correction due to the altitude and 90-degree dyno temps.

Yeah you can go to shell fill up on 93 and thats cool and all. but 27 psi and a v8 what does that equate to? 1.3 miles to the gallon maybe. i like having around 350 whp, and also being able use my car as a mode of transportation too, its kind of neat like that.

Just an example....he's not the only one that gets good mileage with high HP. Turbo/SC/N20 5.0s, 4.6s, LSx's are well known to knock down 20+ mpg with 700+rwhp.

Pretty much fusion! For the people that know like you and others it may seem repetitive, but if I can make just one Ricer take off the rose colored glasses and see the light I'm happy.

Many are still in the dark. When Chris's black EVO lost to the SC/Nitrous Notchback a poster was very firm in saying "It's about time a V-8 hung with Chris, but look it took two power adders for him to do it ..ha ha ha".

I'm personally looking forward to Wolverine..*****...racing Chris if it happens his mustang should make it pretty obvious what a turbo on a street driven mustang can do.

I like EVO's I just have had many sports cars: 5 DSM's, FD, 5.0, 2 Cobras, the EVO fit's the bill for what I need it for, but having been in some seriously fast cars AWD is only good to a point and the drivetrain failures **** me off, and race gas get's old, but the challenge part is fun.

Vipers rule the roost in straighline speed that's where I'm headed. The EVO will become more the DD, but I still plan to keep throwing parts on it.

It's all gearing bud, hence why our cars aren't very fuel efficient. Too many RPM's at highway speeds. While Z06's/C5's can get 30mph on the highway, and pig cobras/vipers can get high 20's.

Most 4 cyl. sports cars are lucky to get 26-27mph going 60mph.

As if that matters in a drag car Let's go give AMS crap because there drag car can't go kick butt on the roadcourse.

The car is obviously set up for straightline speed.
