R33 Skyline
I think the reason R33's don't get much love is because the car didn't impress when it came out. It wasn't any faster then the R32 it "replaced" maybe even slower in some ways - stock that is.
I do not think it is legal to own any Sklyine except for a Motorex converted R33. I don't think you can bring over any Skyline regardless of model anymore, and that all the 32's and 34's Motorex "converted" are now illegal.
I think the orginal blue 33 featured on this thread was shown on this board a few month backs as a friend of an Evo owner who was trying to help her sell it, IIRC.
This board features an "Other Cars" section for vehicles that aren't Mitsubishi Lancers.

looking ILL as ****, is that a stock color? and if you know the owner well how hard was it to legalize it in the states? i recall a thread where people were doubting it was possible to do it.

im pretty sure R33's are allowed since they're on the NHTSA list, and i think you can get an R32 and R34 for off-road purposes only now
There are companies that would be happy to convert it. But just because it's LHD doesn't mean you are gonna get it registered in the US. The only one's that can be legally registered are R33's. The 32 and 34 were removed from the NHTSA list.

Any reason specificly why they do not allow the r34 and r32? Crash test ratings or what?
Steve
well what about this r34 i saw at HIN Orlando this past saturday...
I spoke to one of the business owner after the show and he says that he can import any Skyline and sell it for a reasonable price. He can even finance you a r34 GT-R for god sakes!!!!!!!
His website is Http://fast4wheels.com, talk to J.J. and tell him that I made the connections......damn it.

FYI, the Autoplus R34 was converted to LHD at Skyline Motors LLC in California, wheich then the shop had closed already. For them to get in the R34 just for it to get converted and shipped back to the Philippines for the JUN engine, they had to go through tremendous paper works.
If I were you, don't risk getting an R34 anymore. You are basically putting precious $$$ on the line. Even if someopne tells you that they can bring in Skylines, somehow, there would be something fishy about it.
