Well I never use the space besides the occasional 3rd or 4th passenger and much prefer the tight feeling of a 2 door coupe. There is no bad weather here besides some rain.

At this time I wouldn't for the Z06. I would have to wait till I'm in my midlife crisis to get a Vette... lol. As for the Supra I would but only if it was a low mile TT that was well kept and I was going to mod the crap out of it. If it was going to stay stock or mild mods I would keep the Evo.

Funny you mention that. I've ran into a few STi owners out here that have purchased WRXs and STis over Vettes as their midlife crisis cars. They all say the same thing; "It was easier to justify this one to my wife."

The oldest person I've ran into that owned an STi was a guy that was like 70 years old! I asked him, "So, why an STi?" He told me it was because he was too young to own a Buick!

I have a modded 94 TT 6 speed and I'm selling it to buy an EVO. I love my supra but my wife is pregnant and the supra just isn't practical enough.

I spend alot of time in the twisties and very little time on the interstate so the supras insane top end is kind of wasted on me. I think for the type of driving I do the EVO should be a better fit.

The Supra is just plain sexy. The Z06 is just more of the same from Chevy. Besides you want something rare and hmmm the Z06 is not. I'd trade my VIII for a Supra any day. I owned a 88 tubro targa ''sniff'' the good ol days... I miss RWD.

I say look into a C6 Vette. Used examples in good condition can be had for the low 40's, or even high 30s if you are willing to wait for a good deal.

i own an '04 z06, and can provide better input

first of all, i'm 24 and not in my midlife crisis, in fact...i'm doing quite well, lol....the z06 is more of the "younger" crowd amongst vette owners, but definately older than the demographics of the evo (which are usually teenagers, or early 20's).

but anyway, i wouldn't trade it in for an Evo any day.....something about the tremendous low end power/torque makes it more fun to drive, and the great handling and braking give it the best of both worlds...the only real downfall to the car is that the interior isn't all that great, but at least it blends in nicely

sitting in the car and driving it, it feels much sportier than an Evo, and more like a c0ckpit rather than a 4 door sedan..as others said, the steering isn't as "tight", but that's more of driver preference..it still handles (or outhandles) with the best of them (and has hit .98-1.03 on the skid pad)

exhaust note sounds way better than most imports, especially at WOT

the c5 z06 costs more than an evo, but it's still a great bang for the buck.....stock it runs low 12's@117mph and has killer brakes etc. the car just pulls and pulls from 1st all the way through 5th, in stock form

just depends on what you like and want.

i like Evo's and their performance, but something about the boy racer image ( big wing, altezzas, 4 doors etc.) are a big turn off

the vette has an exotic sounding exhaust (i have a few vids if you're interested), and carries a little more "class" even with it's "american" bada$sness to it

as for the new c6 z06...well, that's in a whole separate league than most cars that cost 2x or 3x as much.....already has hit 11.5@125mph BONE STOCK!!

also, one more thing...i like how the z06 is geared better also...as much fun as it is with the low end power, 3rd gear and above are an absolute blast and outshines the evo in the top end..i'm only at 400rwhp, and had no trouble leaving behind a 430+awhp Evo from a 3rd gear roll

here's a video for you and an article
