Would you sell your Evo for ZO6 or Supra?
Low mileage, well-maintained C5 Z06 or new base C6: Yes, if I could also comfortably afford a daily driver/commuter. I don't trust the GM build quality enough to put serious miles on it. Also, with significant low-end torque and RWD, it doesn't alway make the best bad weather driver. Being a 2-seater with a small trunk also limits its every day practicality.
MKIV Supra Turbo: Same deal with a commuter - but not because of fears of build quality. That's a car you want to keep miles off of just to keep it mint. Mileage and mods are not the biggest concerns. Who did the maintenance and mods are. Supras have tremendous potential in all areas - prestige, looks, power potential, handling, reliability, etc.
Neither car will be as practical or as cheap to own as an Evo. I looked at both before deciding on the Mitsu. Remember, being able to afford to buy/finance a car doesn't mean you are able to afford to own that car.
In my opinion, it all comes down to what you want out of the car. I will personally be looking at something with LSx power for my next performance car. Hopefully an LSx-powered FD. All the benefits of the LSx powerplant, but stuffed into a great-looking, lightweight, great-handling Japanese chassis.

that is the exact ricey attitude that tends to give evolution owners a bad rep
btw... about 40% of my car is domestic now and im running faster times then you will in your life
^ I agree if you actually have driven in or owned a c6 z06 ... becuase if you havn;t don;t talk . My friends dad just recently purchased one and brought each of us for a ride they are insane... Ran the quarter mile stock 11.8 and i don;t think hes a great driver . The interior is also amazing ... The in dash dvd is really nice all around great car for the price ... I used to love vipers until i rode inn this ...
wait few years and you're gonna see they are not reliable car and what's for you domestic for me is not so i don't care. i just think americans don't know how to build cars and actually i have a friend with C5 z06 and he regrets that he bought it and i hate that new front look of new z06
To each his own, but to downplay a C5 or C6 strictly because it is American is about as idiotic as you can get! Both excel in every way even against the all mighty EVO. I agree I don't like most American cars, but most is not all. In fact I don't like most cars period except for sports cars sedan, coupe, or convertible.
Instantly for a c6 Z06 But then again, Chevy is releasing a new STINGRAY that will toast the Z06 even..
Other than that, i cannot see myself trading my EVO for anyother car on the road right now..
