^They are very very very rewarding in a straight line, the truth of the matter is that they do not handle anywhere close to a zoh or evo stock.

Stock they pulled up to .98 grip, flew through the slalom at 68.5 mph and held the record in Car and Driver for the best 70-0 braking until bested by a Porsche Carrera GT. It had the BEST braking stats that they had tested in 20 years! and that's a fact.

I don't doubt that the newer performance cars may handle a little better, but the Supra was no slouch and saying the handling is not anywhere close is exaggerated.

I wasn't downing a Supra, but if I'm gonna spend 50G's on a car I'll go ahead and stretch it out a little or save some more money and spend another 18G's on a new car rather than some 10 year old car.

Plus....the prices on Supra's are rediculous. I would just rather have a new car with a warranty.

The car is over 10 years old now, the shocks are old and the car is close to being warn out. I dont care if it has 10 miles on it the car is still 10 years old and not new. In fact I was looking at the supra new in 1995 but got a Rx-7 TT because the supra was a big fat pig and felt like it.

You should consider for the same money:

-Acura NSX (95+ in good shape)
-Used 996 Carrera (99+)

They offer a much better driving experience...

If you want a drag car get the Z06 or Supra.. personally I've driven both and here's my opinion:

Z06 - great motor, flappy chassis, vague steering, skiddish, scary at the limit
Supra - ok motor (stock), flappy chassis (age is showing), ok steering, UNDERSTEER

Personally, I wouldn't even consider them.

umm, z06 wasn't even built for the drag strip...it's a track ready street driven race car, and it excels very well...it's actually in a higher class than the Evo..funny how a "flappy" chasis is one of the best handling cars you can buy on the market..if you really want a better overall performing car, you literally need to pay 2 or 3 times as much and are in porsche, viper territory
