Yeah, I'm told it'll be late 2009, which is when mine will be paid off anyway. They're saying in 2008 the regular CTS will receive an upgrade and the V will be out of the picture until its re-released in 2009. On 11/11/09 I will be paid off.

Cool. Hell, I'd take a current CTS-V over an Evo (or STi/STI) any day. And then I'd throw a supercharger on it, and make about 650 crank hp.

I was just watching Hot Rod TV this weekend and they did a supercharger on an LS1 Camaro, along with all the supporting mods like gears, exhaust, headers, etc. It made like 541 whp running 12 lbs of boost with twin intercoolers, and that wasn't even with an engine build.

I wouldn't be worried about too many Evos or STis/STIs with a car like that. I wouldn't even give them a second glance. I'd just ignore the ones wanting to race, like I ignore Hondas.

I think for the most part the Evos are a better handling vehicle than most of the domestics, but when it comes to straight-line performance, in the end, it's America FTW.

Yeah, I'd like to supercharge it with a magnuson charger. As for handling, I agree, but of all american cars I have EVER driven, this one handles the best.

Okay kid. If you go back and reread my posts you'll notice I said we'd sell more CTS-V's. I never said the car sold poorly. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Well, that might have a little bit to do with the fact that it was tuned on the Nurburgring.

congrats on your purchase, will you be throwing on 22 inch wheels, or ridiculous amounts of bass booming speakers in it?

lmfao please do not tell me that you can feel the handbuilt engine. That is a complete joke.

What you're "feeling" is the reasurance that since you payed more, its better.

These are two completely different cars though and I'm always surprised to see people switch from an Evo to a luxury car such as yours. Why by the Evo in the first place?

No, you pretty much got owned in the face there, as an impartial observer.

I love how good posts get taken over by people who obviously show no respect for this forum. I am very shocked the mods have allowed this to even go on.

If you can afford a 50K car, you can afford to be off your parents insurance and move out of their basement.

And I'm shocked no one reported this thread until today. We (the mods cannot read every post) and rely on the members to help. And we are in agreement concerning your first sentence. Thanks.

Awesome car, Cadillac build quality, good features, professional/sleek/good looks and a brutal 400hp V8.
