It has equal length headers. And a tune. Together those make scobbies move. I raced a 2.5 rex with all those mods and tune and was dead even, with the bigger turbo of the sti, would make those numbers entirly feasable...

and thats where the train stops.. my cousin has a 07 STI and already did a turbo back and a few other things. im not really impressed. Now those numbers are nice, the TQ numbers have to be because its a 2.5l and everyone knows that the stock turbo should have taken a dump by now.. Since when does the stock STI turbo allow 400whp? was that a dyno jet it made that power on, because i thought the max HP out of a stock STI turbo was something like 350WHP on a mustang?

After i looked, it showed it.. 283WHP, 349TQ not to shabby, but still not comparable to the evo's... $/HP evo still better

its called a vf-43 and i think the main difference is a bigger wastegate, someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

I think the gearing was also changed but i'm not sure if that will be a big deal because i don't think anyone's really dragged one yet, supposedly they will be tracking some of these 07s soon.

Yes it is a vf-43 an yes it has a bigger waste gate. The other difference is that the 07's hav new redesigned heads and thats where the newfound power and torque is coming from. Without a tune they are actually quite sluggish due to the new ecu tuning.

Is that difference between 06 and 07 STI?
Because there were tons of differences between 05 and 06 and now if they reworked the head on an 07, that's again more differences lol. I've read something about 07s not being as good... wonder if it's the tune. Will have to do more reading, I want to get an STI next year and when I finally think I got it all, there's new stuff

There are also changes with the swaybars and lateral links. You really need a custom tune for the 07's because the factory ecu tune is crap. There is alot of hesitation when going WOT.
