+1 you beat me to the punch. stock EVO IX's are running in the 12's all over the place. no stock mazdaspeed3 will ever compare to the performance of a stock EVO. you just screwed up, and now you're starting to realize it. good job.

You said it yourself, LACR is a slow track, quite possibly the worse track on the face of the earth, I know I been there. 350z ran low 14's to high 13's stock, more so in the low 14 range. A 15.1 @ LACR = 14.6, still half a second off from what the 350z is capable of, but still some people have bad runs, it happens... we are human.
There is a big difference! Stock Evo runs mid - high 13's there, and some will sit at low 14's because LACR is the weakest track EVER. Take it to FSW and it's awhole new story, as I have seen 350z crack high 13's quite frequently compare to LACR, a few bone stock but more slightly modded (I/E).

I seriously would like to push you over a cliff. Who are you to tell someone they make 'poor car choices', but than earlier state "Congrats on your MS3, it is a nice car and probably fit your needs much better than EVO,"? If it suit his 'needs much better', than he made a great descion. I guess one place they are not is out here in socal, haven't seen any *stock IX's* hit 12's at LACR (with correction) or FSW, although I have seen alot of them hit low 13's and some mid 13's.. Wierd, since socal or california in general has the most Evo owners than any other state. the point is, the car is capable of 12's. go rent a BMI video and watch the JDM IX MR pull a 12.5 bone stock. jdm car has a little more claimed torque (about 6lb-ft), but seeing as how the EVO's engine is underrated, they are probably really close.

stop hating on EVO IX's because you don't have one. i saw your thread about the Ralliart. you can't even handle one of those, let alone an EVO, so you shouldn't even be posting in this matter. i don't really care what people on this forum are doing with the EVO. the car can run 12's. period. whether the idiots you found can do it or not doesn't matter.

You know for a fact nobody on EvoM is gonna pull a 12.5 in a bone stock evo, also the fact the JDM IX has more computer goodies than the USDM one and runs a higher octane stock aswell. So stop living in a fantasy world, they are capable of 12's, but IX's don't run 12's (stock) all over the place, period.

@ hating on the IX. Where your proof kid? I was set to buy one from Southcoast Mitsubishi, downpayment in checkbook, WW pick out but 3 days before that I wreck my car. Still, that's not stopping me because im still getting my WW IX kid.
