EVO to Cayman?........
I should add that owning the Evo exudes a more hip persona than the BMW's oh-look-at-me-I-have-money-and-you-don't aura or I-am-a-grandma-and-I-love-my-Beemer-it's-safe-and-I-like-to-drive-it-extra-safely assurance or I-am-an-overworked-businesswoman-who-loves-her-Beemer-and-her-image-that-she-projects-to-the-world-around-her-that-orbits-her-too delusion. Keeping up with the Joneses is what the Beemer's image or heritage is all about - here in America. Like a pair of young, fashionable jeans, maybe the Evo is something you can't "pull off" anymore. Maybe it's too cool for you.
. The reason I liked the 335i is because it performs so well and yet with poise, and comfort. You said before that maybe my wife would learn to love the EVO if she drove it... Well, she's driven it a couple of times but that has not changed her mind. She normally drives a Maxima SE with the 6 speed so the stick shift is not the problem. She does not like the seat back adjustment knob, she does not like the lumbar support (or lack thereof), she does not like the visibility out the front (or lack thereof). She finds it loud and uncomfortable. Also, unlike me, she does not care at all for the acceleration and handling of the car. In other words, she's not a car enthusiast in the same way that I am. Her values for quality, performance and esthetics are different. Anyway, she might not like the Beemer's acceleration either, but that's a chance I'm willing to take
. As far as the EVO being too cool for me, that's a laugh.... My cool does not depend on what kind of car I drive
