I like it. At least Subaru didnt need the help of Dodge, and Hyundai to build a platform for their car, and they at least still have a factory involvment in WRC. Unlike our currernt auto manufacturer.

2.0 liters. 300hp and 318ft lbs. Sounds like more boost, higher rev ability, stronger internals. Seems like Subaru is jumping into the fight swinging.

It's okay, nothing special about it. Personally I don't like the hatch so I would never buy one...EVO X is going to be my choice once it hits Canada.
Isn't mitsu suppose to come back to WRC in 2008?
Plus who cares who Mitsu built the base platform with, the only thing that matters is that it's better/stronger than the current Evo IX. Plus Dodge or Hyundai has no say in what the Mitsu engineers build on to the platform or the engine.
I have faith in Mitsubishi

It looks pretty good and it looks better than the current STI, but are they really going to use that wing? It's way too big. I'm pretty that wing will just be on the concept.

Only the Bristish versions will come as five door hatchbacks as the only option according to a previous post of an article. Besides a hatchback is more aerodynamic. Most WRC cars are hatchbacks.

What's wrong with an automatic option? There will be a manual. The idea of the automatic is to increase sales and that's good for Mitsubishi and the customers, because Mitsubishi will more likely be around longer if they are making more money. Come on man, it's just a wise business decision. Look at the success of the 350Z.

If people with a purist mentality run a car business they will quickly die and shut down.

Actually Mitsu didnt have any say. Hyundai and Dodge probably spent most of the money developing the chassis. So hence its actually a chassis for a cheap *** car like the Neon....errrr..... I mean the Caliber.

having a 5 door is probably the smartest thing, it puts the insurance cost in the realm of possibility for younger owners. I dont like the spoiler. I like the black one without it.
