As far as the concept, I am so happy, for a second there I thought Subaru might design something that looked attractive and steal sales from Mitsubishi, I now see Mitsubishi has nothing to worry about.
If you want to discuss "better sides," we can take that to PMs.
BTW, if you're waiting, don't hold your breath.
And isn't it Mitsubishi that's trying to go mainstream with the X? Uh huh.....that's what I thought.
Weaker.
You talk about how speculating is stupid, and yet you do the same thing. But, one thing's for sure, there won't be a Hyundai motor under the hood!
This is the better side. Deal with it.

But it doesn't. You offer your opinion as a fact and its not even a very widely held opinion. Weak.
Considering as radical as the Evo is offering an auto, more European styling and more comfor tand convenience features make it more appealing to a broader audience. It still doesn't make it a mainstream car like a Legacy, which Subaru pits against the Accord or Camry. The Evo is not a mainstream car.
Weaker.
There will be a Mitsubishi motor under the hood of the X, it will come out of a Mitsu plant and built by Mitsu techs. I have made no claims about the ability of the X to do anything, only that I trust Mitsubishi in that they are using their benchmark of IX to build a better car. People like you who say stupid things like "Caliber chassis, Hyundai motor" have no clue and I will continue to challenge this. Just because I point out that you are wrong does not mean I am speculating. It just means you are wrong, plain and simple.

Come back when you actually know something. You challenge it all you like, because at the end of the day, the motor was developed with Dodge and Hyundai. Guess what that means.
You're wrong, I'm right. There's nothing more to discuss. If it was designed by Dodge and Hyundai, it's a Dodge and Hyundai motor. The truth hurts. Get over it. I have no clue what I'm talking about? It's widespread news that it's using a Caliber chassis. Do a "Search." Sorry 'bout your luck.
Its widespread news that Dodge is using Mitsubishi's platform to build the Caliber, Compass and a stretched version to build the Sebring and Avenger sedans. Maybe you should read more closely. This base architecture of the engines was shared between the 3 companies. There's a lot more to an engine that that.
Sinister Subaru, why are you bashing on a motor that you BARELY know about? Do you work for Mitsu? Did you build this motor and now the specs on it? NO!!!!!!!!!! You dont know how this motor will perform at all, so i dont know why youre getting to conclusions.. Just because its opened deck and alluminum doesnt mean it wont make power.. Mitsu has proven its self more and more with the new Evo models.. Look at the Evo IX motor with the MIVEC head and the amounts of power it makes with simple bolt ons.. See if a suby can do that and run that fast with 3-4 mods...
All you do is come here and bash on the Evos.. If you dont like them then go back to NABISCO with the rest of the suby owners

See if a Suby can "do that?" It DID, and all of you cried foul.
Does the toolbag that found it necessary to start a pissing match (yes, the same one that continuously PM'd "your mom" insults to me on a daily basis...) over an engine he knows nothing about? Surely, he does. He knows no more than anyone else does about this new motor, other than it's a global effort between Mitsubishi, Daimler-Chrysler, and Hyundai. The ONLY thing Mitsubishi did to make that motor "their own" is develop the cam profiles and the chain cam gear setup.
Your little friend decided he wanted to start this pissing war. Not me. You need to go back and re-read some previous posts. Don't place blame without even knowing the story.
That's great that you think this is going to be the greatest motor ever built, but time will tell. I think everyone here is pulling for Mitsu, including myself, but I'm not going to sit here hug nuts just for the sake of the fact that it's a Mitsubishi. Do you like everything that Mitsubishi makes? Probably not. Do you hug nuts on a product just because it's made by Mitsubishi? Probably not. It's the same damned story with me and Subaru. I couldn't care less about Subaru's latest and greatest Forester XT, or Baja Turbo, or B9 Tribeca. Why? Because I simply don't like'em. Maybe instead of being Evo enthusiasts, some of your fanboy friends should try being car enthusiasts. They may find the hobby to be much more enjoyable for themselves.
I love it how everyone here's doing the same thing about the new STI....you all seem to think you know something about it, but you don't. Then, you turn around and ride my *** for having the same skepticism for the Evo X. Get off your high horse already. Nobody here knows a damned thing about either one of them, other than what they look like and what they'll have under the hood.
Anyway, your "little trolling friend" has yet to be able to answer ANY technical questions I've put in front of him, only to try to change the subject by attacking everything that I say.
So, let's hear it, Mr. Flame-starting GPTourer, since you're so knowledgeable, how'bout it? Can you name some disadvantages and advantages between the open-deck design Vs. the closed-deck design?

No, I'm not bashing Evos. I'm a realist. I don't hug nuts just because that's what everyone else prefers to do. I call it straight down the middle.

Every since that guy "supposedly" ran those times, I have not seen anyone else run those times.. Matter of fact, theres a local here with an 07 Limited STI with a bunch of mods not even breaking over 110mph and he can drive too.. Evos have proven the times over and over....
I like the redesigned front end on the new STI... but are they seriously getting rid of the sedan??? Or are they going to offer it as both a hatchback AND a sedan or ONLY a hatch? Kinda weird if so...
In regards to the guy that supposedly ran those "fast times", NEVER Posted any timeslips or anything showing what he ran at the track.. I can come in here and claim i ran 11s with little mods and are ppl gona believe me? Prob not cause i have NOTHING to show.. If the 2007 limited STIs are so fast then why did 2 locals here with header/uppipe, catless tbe, mbc, intake get romped by not 1 not 2 but by 3 Evo IXs with a mbc, flash and exhaust, nothing else.
