2008 sti ?? edmunds
ouch, but so true imho. the 4b11 in the Evo X needs to make 80whp from tbe untuned for me to want to trade in my IX for it, at this point...
the sti hatchback looks ok, minus the wing (loooks like it's forced on there, wtF) and tail lights (who in the blue f**k comes up with tail lights like that?)
it'll come with a 2.0 L instead 2.5L now?
edit: i dont agree with the hyundai statement, from what i've read the engines are shared as a foundation, but the final build-up of each "foundations" will obviously result in much different engines in the end...its not like a hyundai engine will only need a turbo to be as powerful as the X's engine or some sh*t like that

Yes, they must all be right. A gain of 200 lbs, and then a bump of 14 hp to "offset" that additional 200 lbs is such a great thing, isn't it? What that means is that the Evo X will basically be no faster than what it currently is. Throw in an automatic transmission, and supposed that "200 lbs" is NOT including the transmission, and now you're looking at an additional 100-150 lbs. Now, what you have yourself is a vehicle with 300 hp, and a curb weight of 3500-3550 lbs, and that's before you sit in it. At the end of the day, take an average-sized male at 200 lbs, and you have a vehicle that weighs 3700-3800 lbs and makes 300 hp. See where I'm heading with this? Now, maybe this new global motor will be a good thing, but there IS a such thing as "too many fingers in the pie." 3 different ways of doing things from 3 different companies may be beneficial, but somewhere along the way, there had to be a miscommunication or disagreement on at least one aspect of this motor. There's something to be said for, "If you want it done right, do it yourself."
It isn't trolling. It's realism. For some reason, everyone always likes to think it's "trolling" when someone else isn't kissing Mitsubishi's *** every time they do something. These are facts, gentlemen, and if I were any of you, I wouldn't be looking to purchase an Evo X within its first few years on market. Sorry, but I wouldn't trust Chrysler's or Hyundai's hands with helping me design the motor for my halo car.

Why should we listen to you?

Guess what. If Hyundai's paws are involved in developing the motor, it's a Hyundai motor. If it walks like a duck, and looks like a duck, the odds are that it's a duck. You can say it's a Daimler-Chrysler motor, and you'd be right. And if it makes you feel good, call it a Mitsubishi motor. I don't care what you call it.
You've posted nothing but instigations:
1. GPTourer raped Sinister Subaru again!
2. GPTTourer owned Sinister Subaru!
3. I vote to ban Sinister Subaru
I don't even need to go on. You're like the background noise, almost the tag-along. "Yeah! Get'em!!" All the while, you're the guy standing in the background trying to direct the show.
Clearly you have nothing of any value to add, so off to the ignore list you go.
Each and every time someone reads your babble, they end up with a few less brain cells.

According to some, I guess I'm a troll for point out what's NOT going to be good about the new Evo.

Exactly, so the dyno #s he put down still dont mean **** cause a dyno can read high and be manipulated... Until he goes to the track and traps 113-115 for the power that car "supposedly" made, its nothing but just numbers
You see the problem with trolls, especially one's who drive sorry *** STis is that they talk a lot and cannot factually prove anything. You type all this sh*t as if it is all factual when seriously there still isn't a whole lot we know about the EVO X other than the fact it will continue to be better than the STI and the way it will pretty much look like. So what happends if the EVO weighs 3300Lbs and makes 320hp+ will Sinister apologize for his misleading info? Nope, he'll just conitnue to troll and whine like a b*tch because he spent all this money on his STi and lags behind. Hey there is one thing I do like about the STi, they prove if you throw enough money into anything it can be fast, I seriously didn't think that could be possible with the STi. And when will all these fast times for 07 STi Limited start pouring in?
See, I've never owned a Ford, so I can't say whether they suck. But thanks for your ignorance! It's always fun to read!

PWNED!!!!!!!!!
What are you talking about? Yes, I said those, but that's not all that I said. Relax and stop being a troll.
You have no real facts to back up the idea that the Evo might be total garbage or the ultimate dream sedan and neither do the rest of us. Just give it up and wait until it comes out. What we are all trying say is that nobody knows anything about the new Evo and that's it. Are you that dense?
